Hardangervidda, Norway

Colours of the moon

Throughout my life, weekends and holidays have often been spent in Hardangervidda, Europe’s largest mountain plateau. As a passionate kiter, I’ve embraced both the exhilaration and challenges of the sport, and it was this personal journey that inspired me to dedicate four years to capturing the vibrant essence of this moon-like landscape adorned with dragon-like kites. Battling frozen fingers and enduring fierce storms, I’ve waited patiently to seize those fleeting, poetic moments that only nature—through its ever-changing weather and winds—can create. Through my work, I aim to highlight the beauty that surrounds us in a world too often focused on the negatives. It serves as a reminder to cherish and respect the environment, appreciating nature not only for its fun and adventure but also for its profound beauty and fragility.

Paris

Paris mon amour

This project captures my love for street photography in Paris, a city that never fails to surprise with its moments of humor, reflection, and love. As someone with French roots, it’s not just family that brings me back, but the urge to capture the unpredictable moments that unfold before my eyes. Paris, the city that never sleeps, is a constant source of inspiration. I focus on capturing the quiet moments of bliss amidst the bustle, where the landscape and architecture offer a much-needed pause from the energy of the city. Through these images, I explore how the city’s design creates spaces for both rest and reflection, showcasing the contrast between the frenetic pace of life and the serene pockets of calm.

Paris

Le dejeuner

This series of photographs captures one of my favorite pastimes in Paris—people watching. Taken at a peaceful lunch spot bathed in sunlight, the images reflect the unique blend of serenity and energy that defines the city. Set in La Défense, Europe’s largest business district, the photos feature people sitting on the steps of the Grand Arche, where the old and new converge. Aligned with the Arc de Triomphe in the distance, the scene invites reflection on the beauty of everyday moments—the casual conversations, shared love for the city, and fleeting interactions between locals, visitors, and the iconic architecture. It’s a celebration of those small, often overlooked moments that give life its depth and meaning.

Hanoi, Ba Bé, Ho Chi Minh

Vietnam

During a three-week journey through Vietnam, I was captivated by a culture vastly different from the West—its vibrant food, breathtaking landscapes, and warm-hearted people. Along the way, I encountered countless moments, each one a story in itself. I found myself in the midst of a funeral procession in Ba Bé in northern Vietnam, captured the scenic train ride from north to south, and spent hours observing the chaotic traffic in Ho Chi Minh, where toddlers cling to mopeds with little more than a glance of caution. This project is an outtake from a larger archive of images. Train, Vietnam 2016 was shortlisted for the Portrait of Humanity Award in 2020, published in a globally sold book, and featured in The Guardian.
